Nadia

Nadia Valentin, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, is a double board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in both family medicine and psychiatric mental health. With over 20 years of clinical experience, she has provided compassionate and comprehensive care across a wide range of settings, including acute care, urgent care, inpatient hospital medicine, and various outpatient specialties such as primary care, disability medicine, pain management, and psychiatry.  Nadia’s clinical interests include general psychiatry, intellectual and physical disabilities, perinatal mental health, and women’s mental health. She is known for her integrative, patient-centered approach, tailoring care to meet the unique needs of her patients.  Outside of the clinical setting, Nadia enjoys church, traveling, cooking, spending quality time with her family, and staying active at the gym.  Her superpower? The ability to create a culinary feast in one standing under the guise of meal prepping —”a true kitchen superhero”.

Carine Luxama, PhDc, MSN, PMHNP-BC, ANP-BC is a double board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Adult health, and Psychiatry.  She seasoned with over 20 years of clinical experience. For the past 15 years, she has been dedicated to serving the diverse communities of Greater Boston, the South Shore, and MetroWest areas.  Carine practices general psychiatry across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her clinical expertise includes culturally responsive psychiatric assessments, psychopharmacology, and crisis stabilization particularly for individuals with serious mental illness, dual diagnoses, physical and neurodevelopmental disabilities.  Known for her clinical skills, knowledge depth, deep empathy, cultural competence, and holistic approach.  Her unique clinical characteristic is that she is an “outside the box thinker”,   a skill she brings into both her clinical work and everyday life. Her superpower? Navigating the joyful chaos of life with three active children (think air traffic control with backpacks, football helmets, and leotards). It’s a daily masterclass in patience, flexibility, and the power of a well-timed deep breath.

Nadine Cherenfant-Cola, MS, LMHC is a licensed mental health with extensive experience across a variety of clinical settings, including community health centers, residential treatment programs, and substance use programs.  She is an organized and resourceful self-starter, skilled at setting priorities and meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments.  Nadine’s clinical interests include Anxiety and Depressive Disorders, Adjustment Disorders, PTSD, Grief and Loss, and Parenting-related challenges. She works collaboratively with clients in a friendly and supportive manner, tailoring treatment plans to meet individual needs. Nadine utilizes an eclectic range of therapeutic approaches, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Psychoanalytic techniques to help clients achieve their goals and make meaningful progress.  With a multicultural background and fluency in more than one language, Nadine brings a culturally sensitive and inclusive perspective to her work, fostering a safe and welcoming environment for all clients.  Outside of the clinical setting, Nadine enjoys attending poetry, open mics, and concerts.  Nadine’s superpower is her ability to remain calm in the mist of chaos.

Dana Mars, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C is a double board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in both family medicine and psychiatric mental health.  Dana brings over 15 years of nursing experience across diverse settings, including hospice, preoperative, primary care, community health, urgent care, and psychiatric/mental health. She is passionate about delivering high-quality, holistic, and patient-centered care with a strong focus on prevention and culturally informed practices.  Her background includes extensive collaboration with interprofessional teams and community leaders to develop and implement community-based health initiatives. Dana values an integrative approach to care, ensuring patients receive support that addresses their physical, emotional, and cultural needs.  Outside of her professional work, Dana enjoys spending time with her family, exploring foods from around the world, traveling, cooking, and dancing. Her superpower is building meaningful connections with people from all walks of life—and being a proud foodie!

Her exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail are key to keeping our office running efficiently.  Ashante is deeply committed to creating a warm, welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and providers can focus on delivering exceptional service. She brings a personal touch to every interaction, making each visit to NewVision a positive one.  Outside of the office, Ashante is an avid lover of art and photography. Whether spending quality time with family or transforming everyday spaces into something beautiful, she brings creativity and passion to everything she does.
